Sunday we tried to shovel mom and dad's driveway and walkways - it's very difficult to shovel ice -- made even harder after Chris got the notion that he could melt the ice with a Tupperware of hot water. At least Chris had fun with the project. Then we left for Hidden Valley in PA for some snowboarding. My friends have a super sweet pad right at the top of the ski lift. (Thanks Ginny & Dan!) We got there Sunday night and were on the slopes first thing Monday morning. Chris, of course, was off and running and jumping hills. Mike and his old lady of an Aunt had to work out some issues the first time down. But by the second time down we were all pros ready for the diamond slopes - well at least the square slopes. By our next trip in March we be ready for the Olympics - ok, maybe the Special Olympics. We made it home Monday safe and sound and free from injury. Then unloading the car at mom and dad's I slip on the ice and stress out my knee. Classic.
Here's a picture of the Winter Wonderland home of Ginny and Dan where we stayed.
