Paige Bike Riding

Here's those pix and vids of Paige fussing that she can't ride her bike, yet she went all the way past Mom's house, probably a half mile, and then back for a swim and then home again. She fussed all the way to Mom's but made it the whole way without an accident all the while proclaiming that she couldn't do it. The last vid is just her pedaling away silently like a pro when we broke away from the pack. I made it into a slideshow, so if you click on a pic it will take you to the page where I uploaded the videos. Once there you can arrow thru at the top the various pix and vids I posted. Can't wait for her to see these when she's older.

two wheelers

here's Em on her first solo ride without training wheels on the street with Mo and Loki back on New Years Eve. She's a pro now after seeing her ride during my last visit.

and here's Paiger getting in a practice run on the soccer field when I was there a couple weeks ago. She was afraid to do it alone without me running beside her like when I taught Em, but she did it all herself and didn't even realize it until I told her.

Wait until you see the vids I have of Paige on her first solo ride down the street when I was there just recently....stay tuned...

Let's Go Crazy

I had the BEST birthday weekend. Everyone embraced the fun of the Circus and the roller rink. I wish everyday was my birthday! We had a blast watching Jadyn. Friday I took the day off and we had lunch with Tim, Jenel, Tatum, Mom and Dad. Saturday the same group of folks went to the Circus to see Bellobration at the Patriot Center. Greg forgot to upload those pictures to Picasa so those will be added later. But he did upload pictures from Sunday - the actual day of my birth. First we had fun at the skating rink and then Mom and Shell made a wonderful dinner over at Shells. Here's a slideshow of my day of fun. Thanks to everyone for participating in my regression back to my youth.

Let The Games Begin

Today kicks off my BIRTHDAY WEEKEND! Just like Mo - I Love birthdays!! This one is off to a great start so far. Greg and I are watching Jadyn this weekend while her parents are playing in Nawlins so I took the day off of work. We are going to meet up with Tim, Tatum, Mom and Shell for lunch and then do some shopping. One of the things on my list to get today is flowers for my new vase/pitcher. I love surprises and yesterday I got a very nice one. I work with Ellen and one day at lunch I fell in love with this glass pitcher they used to pour water, I saw it once before used as a vase and I mentioned how I wanted to get one. Imagine my surprise when Ellen got it for me for my birthday. Thanks Ellen, I love it! - and your amazing memory.

The birthday antics will continue Saturday as we go see Bellobration at the Patriot Center. The Greatest Show on Earth is in the DC Area every year around my birthday - growing up I used to say that it was here for my birthday (since it is all about me). Tatum is at that perfect age to see the Circus, and she has already worn out one copy of the Bellobration DVD so she is perfectly primed. Jenel's mom just got a goat for her farm and asked Tatum to name it - which she named Bello.

Sunday the celebrations continue with something I have wanted to do for a while now for my birthday - and Jadyn staying with us was the perfect incentive. We are going to have a Roller Skating Party! The closest Roller Rink is all the way in Manassas - but this one is worth the trip because they also have a Moon Bounce! How excited am I - I get to relive my youth at the Roller Rink - this time I Finally get to couples skate with the greatest guy - and on top of that - MOON BOUNCE!!!

It's the Perfect Storm for the Best 37th birthday ever. Stay tuned for Lots of Pictures from Birthdaypoloza 2008. Also check back for MANY, MANY pictures of Greg's visit with the Eagneys. Until then - here's a few he sent while away.

Here is Paige looking So Proud after Uncle Greg taught her how to ride without training wheels. Just wait till you see the video of it. Paige was so funny.

Paigey's signature pose - Loves It.

Soph-a-doph enjoying her favorite food - olives. Gives new meaning to finger food.

More finger food for Sophia - this time with some brownie batter. YUM.

I am not sure how well the dogs are doing with their obstacle course - but Emma has mastered it. What a great action shot. Melissa Eagney - Kid Whisperer coming to National Geographic Channel Summer '08.

Group shot of my girls - I was really jealous Greg got to spend so much quality time with them. He said he told them every day how much I love them. How can you not?! Look how cute they are.

I think that is another reason I am so freakin' excited - its so good to have Greg home. I play all independent, but when he is way for too long I get a little depressed - I moped around last weekend staying in my pajamas and never left the house on Sunday. So now I have excess energy for the weekend of my birth! Poor Greg - I hope he survives.

Speaking of birthday's today is my cousin Mary's birthday! It has been far too long since I have been to Philly to visit with my family up North. I am going to go up the end of April to spend some quality time cause I miss them too much. The last time I was in Philly was August last year! I know I have been busier at work lately but that is unacceptable. Here's a picture of Mary, Mary last year - I cannot wait to see how much these kids have grown from a year ago.

Happy Birthday Mary! Love you!

Walk with The Animals

Here's a slideshow of the Elephant Walk last week in DC. The walk started by the new Nationals Ball Park in Anacostia and ended 2.7 miles away at the Verizon Center. Jenel brought Tatum to watch the girls come into the arena. Luckily for us Bruce Read was right there at the entrance and gave Tatum a backstage tour of the animals. Even though it's hard to tell by Tatum's expression - she had a good time.

Finally posting some pictures from Easter last weekend.

Greg and I had a great morning at Tim and Jenel's. When we got there Tatum was passed out cold under the table. Mom and Dad were planning to be there for the Easter festivities - but she was so excited for Easter, she woke up at 5:30am!

Jenel always makes the best food and Easter was no exception. I don't know how she does it - I am not the best at entertaining. Without Greg's help or prepared in a bag to heat and serve, I am at a loss. I make up for it by serving lots of wine - that I know I cannot screw up.

Here's a slide show of the events. Hope everyone had a happy Easter.

Easter Dinner?

We had Easter Dinner with Dad and Margaret at South Austin Grill. Wasn't all that great. We used to go there almost every week when we first started dating, but its lost its luster. Even the Stars & Bars house specialty drink was a letdown, the frozen margarita Karen has, especially at $8 a pop. Blah.

Update: When I worked there - back when G and I were engaged - the place was always full. Especially on a Sunday. My food was yummy at least - but usually I can guarantee a good buzz off of two stars and bars - this time nada. But it's always nice to catch up with Sr. and Margarita. Pop's beard is (pun intended) growing on me. It looks sharp - but all the grey makes him look older than he is. He just needs a little Just Like Men. After the Elephant Walk on Monday (stay tuned for pictures) Jenel, Tatum and I ate at Rosa Mexicana. We should eat there the next time we are in the mood for Mexican. Food was so much better than Austin Grill and the guacamole is made fresh right at a station by your table. YUM!

Action Jackson

I stayed over an extra day in NYC because Paulina was able to get tickets to Late Night with Conan O'Brien. I was pretty excited cause Ryan Phillappe was the guest - and I love Conan. He is so flippin tall and blindingly pale :)

I spent the night at Stephanie & Gary's pad where I caught up with my good friends and got a bit of a fix of puppy love. Their little guy Jackson is such a cute dog. We spent the morning at Central Park where the dogs can play off their leash before 9am.

I took the train this time going to NY and I think this will be the way I travel from now on when possible. Greg asked for me to take some photos of the trip - as you can see in the slideshow, it wasn't the scenery that adds to the trip.

Party People In the House

I didn't get may pictures on Opening Night - but here's a few to share.

Everyone was very excited that Tree Stuart is back with the Unit - I was too cause I Love his little girl Katherine - she is the sweetest little girl and when she reached out to hold my hand my whole heart melted. Here she is flashing her gang signs.

I also got to spend time with some of my other favorite people - Christy and Stephanie. Steph now works at The Garden so the three musketeers were together again.

Pictures from the Animal Walk

One of the greatest perks of my job is to help out with the NY Elephant Walk. Here's a few shots from the walk.

This unit is the Blue Unit - Over The Top - which is a fantastic show. Cannot wait until it comes to DC next year. Even though I am in NY for the Opening - which was last night - I am working the party and never get a chance to sit and watch the show. Luckily I did see it in Florida.

Tonight is Conan O'Brien where Ryan Phillippe is the guest! Then HOME to my hubby, my kitties and my bed for some much needed sleep.

HAPPY BDAY to MO!

Love you and can't wait to see you! Save me some Cake...

Greatest Show On Earth

Here is a shot of Amy Alter, me and Taylor Kloss at the Animal Walk in NYC on Tuesday night. Well, actually it was Wednesday morning. The walk was scheduled to start at Midnight on Tuesday - so around 1am Wednesday, we finally started. The elephants are brisk walkers so it didn't take too long to 1.5 miles. It's pretty amazing to walk with elephants down 34th street past the Empire State Building with thousands of new yorkers cheering for us at 1:30 in the morning.

Yesterday morning I also received this lovely photo from my Friend Peggy. It's Christy, Jen and me at the HSM opening in Florida last year with our girls Maddie and Paigey Pie. I am excited to spend some time with Jen and Christy tonight at the opening. Look out!
Stay tuned for more Elephant Walk photos. We were lucky enough to have a photographer on site - the pictures are excellent, I just have to find some time to save them to Picasa.

Luck of the Irish

Happy St. Pat's everyone. A few years ago - we got very lucky with the birth of our Benny Boy.

One of the best gifts I ever got from Gregory.

For those of you keeping track - Benny turns 8 this year :)
